The College through the leadership of Dr. Ma. Luz F. Cabatan, Vice President for Academic Affairs conducted a Seminar-Workshop on Syllabus Writing Outcomes Based-Education last November 26, 2013 at Moreno Lodge and Restaurant.

The workshop served as the venue for the faculty members of the College to know more about the provisions, guidelines and the Outcomes-Based Education as whole. Prof. Jocelyn H. Diaz, a faculty member of the General Education Department served as the main lecturer of the event. The seminar focused mainly on the discussion of Assessment Methods with reference to designing Table of Specifications (TOS) and Test construction. Moreover, the faculty members were also taught on how to create a scoring rubric for performance-based test.

The workshop was attended by 73 faculty members from the 6 Departments who actively participated in the preparation and presentation of their sample outputs.

Furthermore, a sample OBE Syllabus were also presented by Engr. Mayreen V. Amazona, Chairman, Committee on Instructional
Materials Preparation, for the reference of the Departments in the conduct of their workshop for the preparation and designing of OBE compliant syllabus which will be submitted and evaluated by the Committee.
