With the theme, “Fostering Camaraderie and Leadership Through Excellence”, ASCOT observed its Intramurals last September 3-7, 2013 through the leadership of the Supreme College Student Council under the supervision of the Office of Student Services and Mr. Roderick Zante, Sports Coordinator.

Faculty members, employees and students actively joined the fun run activity conducted as the kick event to the 2013 College Intramurals. The fun run started at Sabang and went on the streets of Baler on its way to Sentro Baler where the formal opening of the event began thereafter with the lightning of the torch and the hoisting of team flags spearheaded by the College Officials and Team Captains.

Converged in the Sentro Baler, the huge crowd of participating teams occupied the place to its limits as the competition begins with the Search for Mr. and Ms. Intramurals 2013. Candidates representing each team paraded their sports attire and confidently answered each jury’s question. At the end of the battle, Mr. BIT, Sonny Terrago and Ms. General Education, Joryll Broqueza were hailed Mr. and Ms. Intramurals 2013.

With full excitement and enthusiasm, audience witnessed the different mascot of each Department showcasing the creativity, artistry and resourcefulness of every ASCOTians. At the end of the presentation, the Engineering Department once again defended their title as their Engineering Warrior conquered the other Departments’ mascot.

The cheer dance competition highlighted the day as it drew a huge screaming crowd and supporters from the different teams. Cheer dancers amazed their spectators on their graceful dance moves and death defying stunts. After the outstanding performances, the Information Technology cheer dancers were announced as this year’s cheer dancing competition champion.

After a week of tough competition on various individual and team events facilitated by tournament officials composed of ASCOT Faculty and Staff conducted at Baler Central School and ASCOT Grounds, the BIT Department were able to prove that they were undefeatable after besting most of the sports events making them the Champion while second place went to the Department of Engineering. The Information Technology Department came in third. Fourth place went to the Department of Forestry and Environmental Sciences while the General Education Department and Agriculture and Aquatic Sciences Department occupies the fifth and sixth place respectively.

The event ended with an awards night and victory party held at the ASCOT Grounds.
