A group of new and young faculty researchers recently attended the Capability Building for New Researchers of State Universities and Colleges in Region III held in Central Luzon State University, Science City of Moñuz, Nueva Ecija last May 12-13, 2016.

Joining the participants from the different State Colleges and Universities in Region III were For. Michelle Resueño, Ms. Amparo Roberta Espinosa, Ms. Malou Angara, Ms. Cristelita Lombres,Mr. Mark Joseph Rafael, Mr. Mark Lester Cunanan, and Mr. Mark Vincent Padilla, Research Coordinators from the different Departments of the College and Mr. John Ryan Abesamis, CIRPS Coordinator.Topics discussed include, Harmonized Regional Research and Development Agenda by Dr. Julius Caesar V. Sicat, Tools and Techniques in conducting Quantitative and Qualitative Research by Prof. Lyndon Morales and Dr. Janice Morales, Statistical Tools and Analysis by Dr. Arnold N. Velasco and Writing for Publication by Dr. Roberto C. Pagulayan.

The two-day multi-disciplinary seminar-workshop was steered by the Developmental Council of State Universities and Colleges in Region III-Center for Interinstitutional Research and Policy Studies (DC-SUC III/ CIRPS) to support new, young and aspiring researchers by equipping them with the basic knowledge and skills necessary to come up with quality researches in their respective fields of specialization. Moreover, it also aims to sustain and strengthen the capability of SUC III in the area of research.
