“Empowering People for a Sustainable Future”

RA 7664 mandated ASCOT to integrate the Aurora National Agriculture School (ANAS) within three years from the date of the approval of RA 7664. Within a month after the above stated Presidential Proclamation, ASCOT-PTIA (Provincial Technical Memorandum of Agreement) with the Department of Education Culture and Sports (DECS) represented by Director Pedro V. Trinidad, Regional Director of Region IV, ANAS was officially integrated to ASCOT and turned over its DAT-BAT program with ten faculty members, school nurse, animal caretaker, books, farm, equipment, vehicles and buildings.

The PTIA has a total lang area of 120 hectares, 100 hectares of which are rolling hills and forests, and the remaining 20 hectares are the school campus and farm projects used as students’ laboratory area.

With its integration, although relatively young, the PTIA has undertaken solid steps for the sustainability of the AGRED program. It continuously endeavours to maximize the utilization of the available resources with an ultimate goal of becoming a center for agricultural technology.

With the two campuses, 27 kilometers apart, the Dean of Higher Education, Dr. Evelyn R. Cabalejo, was appointed as the Officer In-Charge in Bazal Campus, Maria Aurora, and an Assistant Dean was designated in Zabali Campus, Baler, Aurora.

In June 1998, Mr. Gerardo S. Rillon was designated Executive Director and Engr. Eduardo F. Macose the Director of Instruction in Bazal Campus.

By virtue of office Order No. 18 s. 1999, Dr. Evi Q. Fontanos was designated as the Director of the Department of Agriculture and Aquatic Sciences and in SY 2004-2005, she was designated as the Bazal Campus Administrator.
