The ASCOT Tambayan Spot, an initiative under the NSTP CWTS program, is spearheaded by the School of Information Technology. Coordinated by Christian C. Roxas, Jan Leo R. Crisanto, and Keyvenz C. Portera, and actively participated by students of the School of Information Technology.

This project aims to enhance student well-being and improve the environment through a relaxation spot and weekly cleanup drives.

The “tambayan” hub, located next to the ICTC building, offers students a place to unwind during their free time, promoting better academic performance by providing a stress-relief area. Weekly cleanup drives at the School of Information Technology grounds involved students using sacks, dustpans, brooms, and other materials to clean the area. These efforts led to cleaner, more aesthetically pleasing surroundings and a culture of cleanliness and responsibility. The addition of new plants further improved the environment.

This initiative aligns with the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDG 3) for Good Health and Well-Being and SDG 11 for Sustainable Cities and Communities. Through this initiative, the ASCOT community demonstrates its commitment to a healthier, cleaner, and more supportive environment for all students.
